As a little kid, my family and I would visit my grandfather every other week. I was always fascinated by all of the little knick-knacks scattered around his house. I remember walking up to different tables and shelves looking for something to entertain myself with, picking up whatever was in front of me, whether I knew what it was or not. If it caught my attention, I had to pick up and touch it until I figured it out. This drove my grandfather crazy because nothing was ever in its proper place once I left. Even as I got older, if something went missing, all fingers would point at me because, as my parents still say today, I am " the girl who has touch everything!"
And today, like the little girl who had to pick up and touch everything that intrigued her, curiosity still drives me to understand the whys and hows of the world. I enjoy everything from analyzing the best way to ask a question to figure out how to interpret data using storytelling to craft a compelling message. I need to touch: to dive deep into the details of how each part of a problem works and fits together. In the future, I'd love a career where I can be involved in all stages of the problem-solving process. As someone motivated by learning, I consider every job presented to me as a challenge to figure out. Regardless of what the task is, I need to understand why and how it is what it is. I'm ready to put my hands on anything because I am the girl who has to touch everything!
